Aside from CLAYGO, how else should you behave inside a shared coworking space?
Just like in any shared space, being in a coworking space encourages and a certain behavior so that everyone gets the most out of the space without any bad experiences. Once you familiarize with these do’s and don’ts, you’ll feel better about keeping the AltShift environment at peace. Here are are some of them!
Policies are for keeps
AltShift has certain house rules, take it to heart and follow it. Respect the space because it will be with you in the long run.
Be mindful of your decibels
In short, keep it down. You’re sharing a space with people who are all doing very important things. Heck, they might even be saving the world. You don’t want to be the one to disrupt that with noise, don’t you?
Respect the reservations
Have an emergency meeting with your team? Don’t just go inside a meeting room, ask the community manager and see if it’s available. If not, you can try going outside and have a standing meeting. Or better yet, send an email.
Push for productivity
See your friend in earphones? Yes, she’s the in the zone and she doesn’t want to be disturbed ‘cause her ideas are currently flowing. Come back to her later during break!
Cleanliness is next to richness
Well, sort of? But trust us, a clean, organized space will take you places. Treat AltShift as your own and keep everything you touch within the space clean– the table, meeting room, and even the comfort room.
Join the community activities
AltShift hosts activities for you to enrich your skills, knowledge, and connections. Join them and stay up to date with what’s happening!
Be friendly and connect
Your network is net worth, the person you’re sharing the table with might be the next leader of the industry. If you feel like partnering with him/her, politely ask if he/she is free to talk. You might have shared interests and complementary skills that can propel both your businesses.
Don’t eat and run
We know it’s tempting leave your dishes but this isn’t your house, it’s your office! Wash glasses, plates, and utensils after using it. Also, it’s good to note that when eating, be mindful of others. The smell of your food and the sound of you eating might be distracting others.
Police the stocks
If you’re the last person to use the printer and you see that the paper tray is running low, tell the community manager. It pays to help out!
